Cruise Deal Time

Carnival CruiseAs much as I LOVE RVing, I also now love cruising as do lots of other RVers. I have been on two cruises so far to the Western Caribbean and Alaska which I wrote about. I just booked my next cruise to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico with a friend. It will be a nice little 4 day cruise just before the RV Show in Quartzsite in hopes of killing two birds with one stone depending on my work commitments. As much as I enjoyed cruising Princess last time, I’ll be going back to Carnival for this latest one because they have a great price and are doing a sale right now with $49-$99 deposits instead of the usual 50%. If you are a cruiser, now is the time to book your next one… or two. Go check Carnival’s website before the sale is over.

I just got word that Princess is also having a sale right now but even better, on February 29th, 2016 for one day only, they will have $1 deposits on select cruises. Nice! I am an affiliate of them (affiliate link below) hence the advanced notice. I can’t believe I have to wait 2 days to see what’s available. Pout. Pout.

For Leap Day only – Book a $1 Deposit on Select Voyages from Princess Cruises! Offer valid 2/29 only.

Another good deal that is always available is the military rate for current military, retired, and honorably discharged veterans. Sometimes it is cheaper, sometimes not. Only one person in the cabin needs to qualify. But it does also come with more flexible terms for making changes to a booked cruise so be sure to check out that rate as well when looking for a cruise and thank you for your service.

Something you may not know about Carnival is that they own Princess, Holland America, and several other cruise lines and they issue stock with quarterly dividends and a unique benefit that is truly amazing for frequent cruisers. If you own 100 shares of their stock, they will give you onboard credit (OBC) any time you sail on one of their lines if you provide proof of ownership before sailing per their rules. How much credit depends on length of cruise. Now that’s what I call a great return for your money! I own some Carnival stock myself and am working on getting enough for that benefit.
